The implications of the digital transformation for processes are therefore being researched at the Institute for WI and Digital Society. The research group is working on methods, tools, and procedures that are structured with the transformation of business processes.
New technologies can increase the scope of the process participants, but also lead to processes acquiring a higher degree of variability and agility. Furthermore, real-time data is used to influence the process flow ad hoc. As a result, the automatic generation of process models is becoming increasingly important. Accordingly, methods of self-adaptation of processes must also be developed.
